The nitrocellulose plant is one of the oldest, but due to permanent modernization, today it has a modern process technology with highest safety and environment protection.
Single base powders are mainly produced by batch-type process in modern and automated equipment. We produce a single base powder for all types of small arms, aircraft, antiaircraft and artillery ammunition.
Production of diethyl ether and recuperation of solvents is in service of production of single base powders, as well as alcohol distillation.
Nitroglycerine is produced by the continuous process. It is transferred with ethyl acetate for ball powders production.
Production of wet paste is practically incorporated into ball powder production line, using the same equipment.
On the basis of nitrocellulose and nitroglycerine, i.e. wet paste, we produce double base artillery powders, ballistites (used in increment charges for mortar ammunition) and double base rocket fuels.

Ball powders production is based on a continuous procedure. Such the most modern technology enables production of powder for ammunition from 5.56 mm to 20 mm.
Nitrocellulose – cellulose paper is produced in two qualities: Type 1 and Type2.
Combustible components of powder charges are obtained by impregnation of NC-cellulose paper with energetically active bonding trinitrotoluene (TNT).
Conventional powder charges, mono-block charges in combustible cartridge cases, and modular charges, are produced for artillery systems.
Production of celluloid is practically carried out on the part of single base powder plant.
Based on celluloid, the production of special containers for increments charges for mortar ammunition was developed.
All mentioned productions are accompanied by an independent quality control (main laboratory), which includes quality control of raw materials, and final products. Beside that, there are plant laboratories which are responsible for surveillance of each particular production.
The company has qualified and experienced personnel for all branches of its activity, especially in the field of research and development.
Our department of design and engineering offers transfer all of our technologies, mainly on the “turn-key”basis.http://www.mbminerva.rs/
